From our first contact with Mickie, we have been very impressed with his knowledge and pleasant demeanor. We have had him visit our office twice to train a total of four histotechnicians. During the weeks he was with us, the quality and speed of processing our Mohs specimens improved dramatically. I highly recommend the services of Mickie Johnson, BS, HTL(ASCP), of Mohs Histology Consulting Services. He has provided months of email and phone support regarding equipment and reagent selection and lab set-up, both before and after his work on-site. In one week, he set up our dermatopathology lab and trained our tech in all aspects of histologic technique for permanently processed dermatologic specimens. He provided a CLIA-ready procedure manual with QC log sheets, allowing us to pass our first CLIA inspection with no difficiencies. He is both knowledgeable and professional and has been very patient in his teaching and support of our lab set-up.
