We
bring 35 years of clinical histology experience, 7 years of Mohs histology experience and involvement in education and
training in educational programs and in many laboratories through-out the United States.
We have a reputation for meeting and exceeding expectations to over 75
Mohs surgeons. (Please see the Reference Page). You may contact any of these surgeons
which represent over 95% of past and present clients) Many of these surgeons have been so satisfied with the services we provide
they have asked us back to train additional personnel and assist with setting up additional laboratories. We provide
ongoing phone support after service at no charge.

Comprehensive
Mohs Technician Training includes:
- Training manual for every trainee.
- Training
Certificate at the end of the training period.
- Comprehensive coverage of every aspect
Mohs lab processes.
- Receipt and lodging of specimens.
- Dividing, mapping and inking of specimens.
- Relaxing specimens to insure early complete
sections of all margins. Embedding of specimens using the slide and CryoEmbedder methods.
- Sectioning specimens including:
- Cutting specimens
to produce high quality slides.
- Cutting fat so the deep margin has no holes.
- Cutting cartilage so there is no chatter and it stays on the slide.
- Cutting very small or thin specimens including canthus and eyelid.
- Staining including:
- H&E stain to insure high quality and contrast.
- Toluidine
Blue Stain.
- Immunohistochemical stains for Mart-1, Mel-5 and Cytokeratin.
- Preparation and maintenance
of documentation to meet CLIA and OSHA regulations.
- Equipment adjustment, maintenance and
troubleshooting.
- Laboratory safety and documentation to meet CLIA and OSHA regulations.
- Triage of specimens to help keep the flow of patients on track.
- Methods to shorten turn-around time to as little as 10-15 minutes.
- Close
observation and coaching so the trainee learns what to do to produce high quality slides, quickly.
